wild

Last Saturday I visited a cool new space - Wild Koubucha by Ballsy. It's a combined kombucha bar/ workshop space/art/food/medicine collaboratory on Parramatta Rd Leichhardt.

I first heard about it through The Locals Market, a fruit, veggie and flower bounty which I usually pick up from the Paramount Coffee Project in Surry Hills. When I heard orders could now be collected from Wild Koubucha, I thought I would check it out!

The space is an all white remastered warehouse that has been beautifully restored, with plenty of hanging plants and science beakers aplenty. The main focus is the Koubucha bar, where I tried this drink for the first time. It is an ancient Hawaiian probiotic brew that has amazing health benefits. I walked away with 3 bottles - orange coffee, cayenne/tumeric and and ginger. They have a rotating roster of flavours, so I will definitley be back soon! I also picked up a beautiful hand poured candle in the lovielst lemon myrtle scent,  plus organic tea leaves made in Byron Bay.

weaving

I now have two weaves almost completed!
I started this one last night while watching television with the fam, and once I started I could not stop!!
I had the most gorgeous wool to work with and I just love how the final product looks like a tutu skirt! I am already planning to make another one in a completely different colour way, but should probably finish my other weaving projects first!

life captured workshop

Last Saturday I took the drive up to beautiful Avalon to spend the day at LIFE:CAPTURED, a photography and memory keeping workshop!  The workshop was hosted by blogger Pink Ronnie along with photographer Trish from Tealily Photography.

On arrival I was in awe of the fabulous home of Zoe from @theweddingnest and I knew straight away what a creative day it would be!  With location on point, Trish helped us get aquainted with the manual functions on our cameras and we spent the morning practicing our new skills around this gorgeous space!

We refulled with a delicious baked salmon and salad lunch outside on the verandah and enjoyed a chat with some lovely ladies.

After lunch it was time to learn about Lightroom, photo organising and memory keeping with Ronnie. She was very patient with the various experience levels  in the group (especially with me!), teaching us how to archive and organise our images.

It was a lovely day with great company and I left with a fabulous goodie bag and feeling very inspired!

All images by me, My Fabulous Design (except for image one which is The Wedding Nest Zoe's gorgeous space, featured in the latest Country Home Ideas).
